Your own
Sigil Design

On your journey in life, there are things that you want to hold close… it could be a life milestone, a personal belief, a goal. Potted Earth translates that into a symbolic mark. What starts as an intention becomes a sigil.

These sigils are made to hold a feeling and provide you focus for what you want to keep close. They become anchors for your attention, giving your energy somewhere clear to land. Created to carry with you or to display as a constant reminder.

On our journey together, I will work with you to uncover what you want your sigil to embody. From there, your symbol is carefully created. Once complete, your sigil can remain a standalone design or be brought to life through a handmade one-of-a-kind ceramic piece, an original oil painting, or even be brought to your tattoo artist for a permanent reminder that you carry with you at every moment.

The Process

Intention turned Physical

01

Virtual Meeting with the artist

We’ll begin with a one-on-one virtual meeting to discuss what you want your sigil to embody. We will talk about the energy, importance, and overall intention behind your statement or desire, as well as stylization options and minor embellishments.

02

Designing stage

After our meeting, I will formalize the statement we worked on and translate it into a custom symbol. This will become your personal mark that will be entirely your own. During my process, I will reflect on what we discussed and allow the symbol to “come to life” with the energy of your intention.

03

Your Sigil

Once done, you will receive a luxury package in the mail containing a sigil art print with your intention handwritten over it, ready to frame, a special handheld ceramic piece to carry with you, and a guide that will include suggestions on how to use your sigil in daily life through rituals and routines.

04

Your plan for using your sigil

Once the package has been sent, you will receive a follow-up with support material to help you get the most out of your sigil.

05

Supportive art

At any time, you can choose to have your sigil incorporated into a one-of-a-kind ceramic piece or as an original oil painting.

Each sigil is unique to the person.

Since our time together is designed for you, it’s important to come with any questions that have been lingering on your mind and in your soul. There will be time reserved to explore how your sigil can support your journey.

With your sigil package,  you will be gifted with...

a deeply personal symbol emboding your intention

a meaningful guide about the ritual of connection

a small hand-held piece created to keep your sigil close

a framable art print with your sigil and statement handwritten by the artist

a unique design that stands alone as a reminder of something that matters most

What Might a Sigil Hold for You?

Often, it’s during moments of change…when something begins, ends, or quietly shifts within you. A sigil offers a way to honor what matters, giving shape to the stories, people, and intentions that deserve to be carried forward. It can represent a milestone, a memory, a personal truth, or a path you’re stepping into, offering a tangible way to stay connected to it over time. Below are some examples I have seen where a sigil can support the journey.

01

Honor New Beginnings

A birth, a new chapter in life, or a rebirth of a new you.

02

Remember those who have moved on

A special memory of someone you hold dear. A way to honor someone or something that shaped you.

03

support what
you're becoming

A goal or intention of something you are working towards.

04

Remember a truth

A reminder to return again and again. A symbol to steady you in moments of need.

Symbol
to guide

"When I first discovered the concept of sigils — the idea that a single symbol could capture anything from a simple word to a powerful phrase or mantra — I immediately knew I wanted one in my studio. The thought that Beth’s handcrafted ceramics could feature my own personalized symbol, serving as a daily reminder of my mission and creative purpose, made the investment absolutely worthwhile.

The entire process was seamless and thoughtfully organized. Beth guided me through refining the phrase behind my sigil and crafted it beautifully onto two ceramic cylinders that now hold my paintbrushes and art supplies. She also included a hand-written art print explaining the meaning behind my sigil to remind me of the words that I so deeply need at times to support me.

From developing the idea to unboxing the final pieces, the experience was one that brought me incredible joy and peace. There’s truly no comparison to owning handcrafted decor that feels so personal, meaningful, and lasting — something I’ll cherish in my home and hope to pass down through my family for generations."

Your Sigil Package

Inside your sigil package, you will receive a digital journal to work through what you want your sigil to embody. Using this journal, we will then meet virtually for a 60-minute meeting to discuss what your sigil will mean.

From there, I will create your custom sigil and send it to you as a small collection of intentional pieces. This includes a fine art print of your sigil and a handcrafted ceramic element, both designed to support ongoing connection and integration.

Each part of the process is purposeful, giving you something tangible to return to as your intention evolves.

faq

What is a sigil?

A sigil is a symbol created with intention.  An artistic mark that is infused with something you want to carry with you and remember day to day.  In ancient traditions, sigils were used for tools of focus, manifestation, and protection.

My personal goal is to bring the energy of sigils out of the mystical and into the world for everyone to benefit.  The world is in great need of support, love, and tools to help us traverse the constant changes in life.  Through symbols, we can find a personal silent language built to speak directly with our subconscious to connect with something deeper and remind us of that which is important.

What can I do with my sigil?

  • First thing would be to find a special frame and hang your print in a centralized location as a constant reminder of what your intention is.
  • Ever considered a tattoo, but not sure what you want. Use your sigil as a permanent reminder that blends art and meaning.
  • Commission a ceramic piece: A mug for your morning coffee, or an incense burner to meditate with.
  • Commission an original oil painting to hang in your home. A secret statement for all to enjoy, even if they don't know what it means.
  • Add it to notebooks, cellphone cases, jewelry, or have it engraved on a keychain.

The artist's values and choices

My work centers around healing, transformation, connection, personal empowerment, growth, and positive change.

There are many intersections in life where we feel the pull to remember something. May that be someone, a special season, a truth, or to anchor ourselves to a future dream.  These are the moments where I hope my sigils can live and take form.

If your request falls outside of these values, I will respectfully decline. Sigils are powerful tools for your personal transformation, and I hold this process with reverence.  Thank you for honoring this sacred space with me.

What can my sigil be about?

Your sigil will and should be personal to you. Consider the following examples when thinking about what you want.

  • Personal Values: “I only bow to Mother Nature.”
  • Your Life's Philosophy: “My life flows in slow harmony with time.”
  • Guiding Principles: “Kindness is my compass.”

"I am absolutely enchanted by this piece. Beth has created a stunning incense burner that is both earthy and gorgeous, and it perfectly complements the aesthetic of my home. Beyond its beauty, it carries profound personal meaning: she designed a sigil embodying a mantra I repeat every time I see it or use it. When I do, I feel a gentle yet powerful reminder of resilience and purpose. This is more than functional art; it’s a daily ritual, a source of grounding, and a celebration of intention. I can’t imagine a more thoughtful, meaningful creation. Thanks, Beth!"

—Amy

"I absolutely love the Sigil you created for me!  The process of seeing my original intention manifested as a symbol blew my mind.  I love my Sigil, and I love, love, love my Pot!  Its such a beautiful reminder of my intention and its continued manifestation in my life.
😌🙏❤️

Thank you, Beth. I couldn't be happier with my purchase."

—Chevy

"Beth made a piece greater than anything I could envision and with more heart than I could have asked for. I gave this owl as a gift to my now husband and he was so grateful for both the piece itself and the depth of meaning it carries. The sigil she created is strong and guided and the owl is full of wisdom and spirit and just the right amount of whimsy. I will definitely be returning to her for other works of art. Thank you, Beth, for all the care and soul you weave into your work!"

The Artist

Beth Nicole Barnes

My work weaves an invisible thread between art, spirit, and nature. Each sigil I create carries the intention that it was designed from. I believe in the power behind things. Objects and symbols can hold presence, tell stories, and remind us to slow down in a world that moves far too fast.

While ceramics is my primary medium, you’ll find the elements of ritual, reflection, and nature are where a piece begins. In my current direction, I infuse the symbolic language of sigils. I personally design these symbols to act as subtle guides and reminders to deeper truths. Something only the intended will know.

A symbol can hold what words often cannot.

Ready to give form to something meaningful?
I'd be honored to guide you through the process.
